Independent digital design firm Degree 53 has revamped Betfred's ToteSport mobile offer with the addition of a full sports book to expand on its horse-racing and limited tote pool betting.

In October 2013, Betfred invested £ 100 000 in Degree 53 whose founder, Andrew Daniels, was a former employee of the firm.

I identified Andrew as an amazing talent when he joined Betfred as head of mobile development two years ago, Betfred owner Fred Done said at the time. His illustrious attitude and entrepreneurial spirit really stood out. I bought into Degree 53 knowing that it will deliver an outstanding digital design and build service for every customer.

On the launch of the significantly revamped mobile offer, Betfred digital operations manager, Andy Porter, said: For the first time we have a full sportsbook, so you can now back your favourite team and still have a placepot while on the go.

Stuart Magowan, head of development for Totesport, added: This is very much the start. Horse-racing will always be our main focus and we will look to develop the offering further, but we also plan to introduce a full gaming product which will be the best out there.
